The descriptions of various diseases are concise yet complete, and nicely complemented with discussions of the corresponding available tests. Of note, the old "LE prep" test, a nonspecific test historically used as an adjunct for diagnosing systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), is not even mentioned - one of many examples that this book accurately reflects current and best laboratory practice!
